Thurs 23 Jan – Hand Stand Push Ups

For Time;

75 Hand Stand Push Ups.

On the minute, do 20 Double Unders until complete.

This should be between 5-10 minutes, so will require scaling for pretty much everyone.  Wall facing, leg raised or in the pike position – scale as needed.

Warm Up

30 Push Press with empty bar

20m Caterpillar Walk

20m Bear Crawl

20m Gorilla Jump



Body position for the HSPU or any elevated body position push up.

Scaling positions for HSPU.  Break down the WOD into chunks you can maintain.




Every 60 seconds do 20 Double Unders until HSPU complete.

    Perhaps set my scale too high, wall facing HSPU but I did feel the intensity.

  3. I followed my ongoing ‘aerobic engine’ programme with 4 x 1km Rows with 4min rest in between. Kept pace to 1:49 per 500m throughout.

    Lovely little session that. 7:04 with feet on the windowsill, single skips. More than a few suspect reps as well… a bit more form work required on my part!

    A couple of extra HSPU for good measure as I can’t do maths while upside down!

    8:51 started with kipping for the first 30 then moved to legs raised on window sill.
